Know exactly where your product stands.
Before your next raise, your next pitch, or your next hire.
Where consulting firms charge $5,000–$50,000 for due diligence, The Assay delivers the same rigour from $99. Not ChatGPT feedback. A credential.
The Assay is for founders who are ready for an honest answer.
Not a validation tool for early-stage ideas. A rigorous assessment for products already in market — that need to know exactly where they stand.
You're heading into a seed or Series A conversation and you need to know what an investor will find before they do. The Assay gives you the honest picture first.
Expanding to a new geography, channel, or customer segment. You need an independent read on whether your product is genuinely ready — or whether gaps will cost you.
About to bring in a Head of Product, CTO, or VP Sales. The Assay gives you — and them — a shared, objective baseline before the first day.
Three steps. One honest verdict.
Not a quiz. Not an instant score. A structured assessment that forces the right questions — and gives you the full picture.
Submit your evidence
Submit your product URL, usage data, and context through our intake wizard. We assess your evidence and identify the right review for you — no guessing.

Common questions
DVS has no financial or advisory relationship with the products it assesses externally. The analyst reviewing your product has not seen it before, has no stake in the outcome, and follows a fixed assessment framework. Independence is stated on every report.
The intake wizard takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. We ask for your product URL, key metrics, and context — the same information a serious investor would request in a first meeting. The more evidence you provide, the sharper the assessment.
Your evidence is processed in a session-scoped environment. All submitted materials are deleted 24 hours after your report is delivered. We do not train on your data, store it beyond that window, or share it with third parties. This is stated on every report.
Yes. The Assay Report is a structured, citable document designed to be shared. It includes a formal composite score, a methodology statement, and an independence declaration — the elements an investor or board member expects to see in due diligence material.
The Assay is designed for products already in market with real users. Pre-revenue is acceptable if you have meaningful usage data and customer evidence. If you're earlier than that, our sister product Touchstone is built for idea-stage validation.

What you walk away knowing
The Assay Report is a formal document — not a slide deck, not a chat log. Every section is designed to be cited, shared, and acted on.
Built on the methodology DVS uses to build ventures.
The Assay is built on the same six-dimension framework Digital Venture Studio applies internally to every product it validates and builds — a methodology developed across SaaS, B2B services, consumer products, and government ventures. The framework draws on the same assessment criteria used in institutional due diligence: product-market fit evidence, unit economics, competitive defensibility, and operational readiness.
Each assessment follows a fixed scoring rubric against observable evidence — not impressions, not advisor instincts. The result is a score you can defend in a boardroom, not just a conversation you had with an AI chatbot.
When an external founder submits their product, the review is fully independent: DVS has no connection to the development of the product being assessed. This independence is stated on every report.
